Your family cookbook

Recipes with a story.

Cooklore saves recipes from a web page, a cookbook page or a handwritten card, into one private cookbook you actually cook from. No account, and your recipes are stored on your device.

Every recipe on its own card: the Cooklore recipe library, photos, notes and all Keep the story with the recipe: a recipe open with its photo, the family's notes and the ingredients Cook Mode: read each step from the stove, in big type, one step at a time

On every screen you cook on

iPhone to desktop
After dinner: remember every time you cook it, with the date, the stars and a note

Cooklore is coming to iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows. Each one fits its screen: on a desktop, your library and the recipe sit side by side. Recipes are kept on each device; a backup file moves them.

Switching from another recipe app, or a stack of handwritten cards? Bring your recipes with you.

Cooklore opens the export files of several other recipe and notes apps, plus its own .cooklore, JSON and CSV files. Opening a file is free; the free library holds 10 recipes, and Pro gives you unlimited recipes.

What it does

Capture

Add recipes your way

  • Paste a link, or snap a photo of a cookbook page or card
  • The text is read on your device, and nothing saves until you check it
  • The photo stays with the recipe
  • Or just type it: your recipe, your words

Cook

Cook it, hands-free

  • Cook Mode keeps the screen awake, steps big
  • Say "next" or "timer 5 minutes": voice is free for 3 cooks, then Pro
  • Timers you start from the step
  • Scale the servings, the amounts follow

Plan

Plan → Shop

  • Plan the week's dinners in a minute
  • The shopping list builds itself, grouped by aisle
  • Split it across the shops you actually visit (Pro)
  • A family cookbook PDF, ready to print (Pro)

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Cooklore has no sign-up and no login. You open the app and begin. Your recipes live on your device.

Are my recipes private?

Yes. Cooklore is local-first: your recipes are stored on your device, never on a server we run. Text in a photo is read on your device, and a recipe link is downloaded from its website. There are no ad or analytics SDKs. Crash and performance reports are on by default, and you can turn them off in Settings → Diagnostics. You can back up or export everything whenever you like.

Is there a free version?

Yes. The free version keeps up to 10 recipes, added any way you like, with Cook Mode, timers, voice for your first 3 cooks, Tonight, the planner, one shopping list, backup, restore and every export. Cooklore Pro is a one-time purchase: unlimited recipes, voice in every cook, the family cookbook PDF, shopping lists for more stores, and three more looks. Your app store shows the price.

Can I bring my recipes from another app?

Yes. Cooklore opens the export files of several other recipe and notes apps, plus its own .cooklore, JSON and CSV files, so your existing library comes with you. The free version keeps up to 10 recipes; Pro keeps them all.

Which platforms is it on?

Cooklore is coming to iPhone and iPad, Mac, Android and Windows. On Windows, voice commands and reading text from a photo are not available yet.

Your family's recipes, kept.

Private, and built to cook from: from the first link you save to the photo of tonight's plate.
