Trueframe DIGITAL Cooklore
Cooklore

Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 October 2026

The short version: Cooklore is a personal tool for keeping and cooking your own recipes. It is provided as is and is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Always check ingredients yourself for allergies and safety. Cooklore stores your records locally, and they are yours. Cooklore Pro is an optional one-time purchase billed by the app store you installed from.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Trueframe Digital (“we”, “us”) for the Cooklore application and its content (“the app”). By downloading, installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. Your use is also subject to the rules of the store you obtained the app from: the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app is licensed, not sold.

3. Not medical or nutritional advice

Cooklore is a recipe-keeping and cooking tool. It helps you save, import, organise, scale and cook recipes you provide or import yourself. It does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary or food-safety advice. Any nutrition figures the app shows are rough estimates calculated from the ingredients you enter and are for general reference only. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking recipes and ingredients for allergens, dietary suitability and safe food handling, and for consulting a qualified professional where appropriate. Do not rely on the app for any decision affecting health.

4. Your data is yours

Everything you enter (recipes, photos and other information) is stored only on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. Because of this, you are responsible for your own data, including keeping your own backups. No Trueframe account is required, and Cooklore does not upload your record database to a Trueframe account, so we cannot recover it for you. The app sends crash and performance diagnostics to Trueframe’s crash-reporting service and Sentry by default, with an off-switch in Settings → Diagnostics, and purchases are processed by RevenueCat, as the Privacy Policy describes. Use the app’s record-deletion controls to remove records. Separately saved backups remain until you delete them. Desktop application data may survive uninstall.

5. Imported content

The app lets you import recipes you find elsewhere: from a link, a pasted caption, a photo of a page, or a video. You are responsible for the content you import and for how you use it, and you should respect the rights of the original creators. Imported recipes are stored on your device for your own personal use. Trueframe Digital does not host, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party content you choose to import.

6. Cooklore Pro & purchases

Always free: up to 10 recipes, added any way you like. Cook Mode with tap and volume-button page turns, your first 3 cooks with voice, timers, Tonight, the planner, one shopping list, backup, restore and every export. Cooklore Pro is an optional one-time purchase (not a subscription) that takes away the 10-recipe limit and adds four more things: the Family Cookbook PDF, multi-store shopping lists, hands-free Cook Mode and three more looks.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy (except as the app normally allows), modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law; not to rent, lease, resell or redistribute it; and not to use it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and the “Cooklore” and “Trueframe Digital” names and marks are owned by Trueframe Digital and protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you. The recipes and content you enter remain yours.

9. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure or import it produces is accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trueframe Digital will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of or reliance on the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Apple App Store

If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies: these Terms are between you and Trueframe Digital only, and not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or any claims relating to it, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, or intellectual-property claims, or any failure to meet a legal requirement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. When we change these Terms we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact

These Terms are provided by Trueframe Digital, Melbourne, Australia. Any questions about these Terms, or any questions, complaints or claims about the app, can be directed to [email protected].
