Miniature painting tracker
Paint the grey away.
Your pile of unpainted miniatures, your paints and your recipes, on one shelf that lights up as you paint. Every model moves from sprue to varnish, stage by stage, and the app keeps the score.

The idea
Every model starts in shadow. Your shelf lights up as you paint.
Zenithal never counts what you haven't done. One cell per model: bare plastic stays dark, and each miniature glows brighter as it moves through the stages: assembled, primed, painted, based, varnished. Open the app and the first thing you see is how much of your pile is already lit.
The same shelf lives on your home screen as a widget
What it does
Built for people with a pile.
Army painters, display painters, and everyone whose unbuilt boxes outnumber their finished shelf. Zenithal keeps the score without ever telling you off.
Units, not guilt
Every unit is a card with a photo, its game and its stage counts. Move one model or twenty with a tap. The stage ladder follows, and skipped stages are fine, because that's how real painting goes.
Every pot you own, as a wall of colour
Your paints as swatches, not a list: owned, running low, wishlisted. A bundled catalog of 3,000+ paints across 13 brands, with cross-brand equivalents so a recipe never dies with a discontinued pot.
Point it at the barcode
Scan a pot and it lands in your stash, matched against the catalog. Scanning is free, one pot at a time; Pro scans a whole haul in one go.
Repeat the exact colour, years later
Steps, mixes and techniques, each with its paints. A recipe knows which units it was used on, and tells you when a paint it needs is missing from your stash. One tap adds it to the shopping list.
Months that light up
Finished models by month, the whole backlog by stage, and your stash by brand. Positive framing only: Zenithal counts what you did, never how long something has waited.
On your home screen, in your files
The lit shelf lives as a home-screen widget on iPhone and Android. Backup and restore are free forever, as a file you keep, or your own iCloud Drive.
Yours, on your device
No account. No feed. No cloud copy of your hobby.
Everything you enter stays in a database on your own phone or tablet. There is nothing to sign into and no server of ours holding your pile. Light and dark mode both ship, the whole app, not just a toggle on the home screen.
- Local-first: units, paints, recipes and photos live on the device.
- Backups are files you own. Save them anywhere, or to your own iCloud Drive.
- CSV export and import, so your data is never locked in.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Screens
Quiet, warm, and honest about the work.
Charcoal and brass, monospaced figures, photos of your actual models. Nothing bounces, and nothing shames the pile.
