How do I keep track of how much perfume is left in each bottle?

Check the level in each bottle, write it down as a simple fraction, and update it every month or so. The point is not precision. A rough level, logged regularly, tells you a bottle is running low long before it surprises you.
The simple method, with a notebook or a spreadsheet
- List every bottle with its size in millilitres and the date you opened it.
- Check the level. For clear glass, hold the bottle against a lamp. For an opaque bottle, weigh it on a kitchen scale and compare with the weight when it was new.
- Record the level as a fraction: full, three quarters, half, a quarter or low. Fractions are honest. Nobody knows the exact millilitres inside an opaque bottle.
- Note each wear, or at least a rough count per month.
- Once a month, update the fraction. If a bottle dropped a quarter in three months, the rest will last about nine more.
- Flag anything at a quarter or lower as "backup?" so you decide before it runs dry, not after.
This works fine on paper. It gets tedious past about ten bottles, and that is where an app earns its place.
