What's a coffee tracking app with no account and no cloud sync?

How to tell if a coffee app is really local

  1. Open the app before you create anything. If the first screen is a sign-up wall, your log will live on their server.
  2. Read the privacy section on the store listing. The App Store "App Privacy" box and the Google Play "Data safety" box say what is collected and whether it is linked to you.
  3. Turn on airplane mode and log a brew. A local app does not care.
  4. Look for an export. CSV or JSON in settings means the data is yours. No export means it is theirs.
  5. Look for a backup file you can hold and copy to a folder. "Sync is on" is not a backup you control.
  6. Check the pricing. A subscription often pays for a server. A one-time price is a good sign there is none.
