Is there a fabric stash app with no account and no subscription?
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Yes, a few. Some stash apps work offline with no account, and some sell a one-time upgrade instead of a subscription. Some larger sewing organizers use accounts and subscriptions instead. Check four things before you add fabrics: the free limit, how the upgrade is charged, whether backup is free, and where your records live.
What the options look like
These details come from each app's own pages, read on 2026-10-08. Check the current store page before you buy.
- Stash Hub is free to download. Stash Hub Plus is 3.49 GBP a month or 34.99 GBP a year, and it unlocks unlimited records and CSV import and export. It has accounts (email, Google or Apple sign-in) and a web app that syncs with the phone app. Its help pages also mention getting started as a guest. https://stashhubapp.com/
- Threadloop is a web app, not an app store download. Membership is free, with no limit on fabrics or patterns. Plus is US$5 a month or US$48 a year, and storing pattern PDFs is a Plus feature. https://threadloop.app/pricing
- StitchStash on Android says it works completely offline with no account. The free version holds up to 20 items per category. A paid version removes the limits and adds backup and restore. The Play page does not state the price. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.muranina.stitchstash
- Cora is for iPhone and iPad. Its App Store page says you can add up to 5 fabrics free before you upgrade, and that it does not sync across devices. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cora-sew-your-fabric-stash/id1114445108
A spreadsheet or Notion page also needs no app account. It is free and flexible, but you do all the updating.
A short checklist
- Count your stash. Will the free limit hold it?
- Is the upgrade a one-time price or a subscription?
- Is backup free? Without it, a lost phone can mean a lost stash.
- Do you need it on a laptop or in a browser? If yes, an account and sync may be worth it.
- Can you export your data?
How Selvage fits
Selvage is a sewing library app for fabric, patterns, notions and projects. It has no account. Your records and pattern files are stored locally, and the core workflow works offline.
The free plan has 15 fabrics, 12 patterns, 3 projects (finished makes do not count), 20 notions and 1 measurement profile. Selvage Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. On Google Play it is US$19.99 (read 2026-10-08), and other countries pay local prices. Pro removes the limits and adds bulk add and edit, automatic shopping shortfalls and a printable Stash Book PDF. Backup, restore and CSV export stay free.
Trade-offs: Selvage has no web version and no live sync between devices. Move your library with a backup file. An Apple purchase covers iPhone and iPad, and a Google Play purchase is separate. Crash and performance diagnostics are on by default and can be turned off in Settings. Purchases and optional web-link prefill use the network.
Selvage is submitted to Google Play and the App Store (iPhone and iPad) and is waiting for review.
