Is there a one-time purchase net worth tracker app, no subscription?
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Yes. Worthtally is $29.99 once for lifetime Pro on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows, and its free tier has no time limit. Other one-time options are Worthy ($16.99 once, iOS and Android only) and Bluecoins (free, plus $15.99 once on iOS, iOS and Android only).
How to check an app is really one-time before you pay
- Open the store listing and scroll to the In-App Purchases list. Look for the word "lifetime" or "once" next to a price. If every line says "per year" or "per month", it is a subscription app.
- Check what the free tier does and whether it expires. A trial that ends after 14 days is not a free tier.
- Check what the one-time price actually unlocks. Some apps sell a lifetime unlock that still leaves a feature behind a subscription.
- Check whether one purchase covers all your devices. On Apple, look for a single purchase that works on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and for Family Sharing.
- Check that you can export your data without paying. If export is locked, your history is hostage.
- If nothing fits, a spreadsheet is free forever. One row per month, assets minus debts, and you own the file.
For scale, Monarch Money Core is $99.99 a year, Monarch Plus $199 a year, YNAB $109 a year and Kubera $150 a year.
How Worthtally does it
Everyday tracking, including unlimited accounts and 90 days of history, is always free. Pro adds full history and is $29.99 once for lifetime access on every platform, or $14.99 a year on the App Store and Google Play if you prefer. Windows is lifetime only. One Apple purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac, with Family Sharing. Nothing forces you into a subscription.
Pro also adds QIF, OFX and QBO exports, a tax-year pack PDF with a quarterly breakdown and a capital-gains appendix, and an accountant bundle ZIP that packs those files together. On Apple devices, Pro backs up your database and attachments to iCloud automatically, and Pro adds live crypto prices from a read-only public price feed.
The free tier is not a demo. You get all nine account kinds (cash, checking, savings, investment, retirement, crypto, real estate, vehicle and debt), the transaction ledger, budgets, goals, the FIRE, retirement, emergency and debt planners, live exchange rates, and export to CSV, JSON or Markdown at any time.
There is no account, no login, no sign-up. Your balances and transactions are stored in a database on your device and never touch a server we run. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs. Worthtally is manual entry only and never asks for a bank password.
Worthtally is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, the Mac App Store, Google Play for Android, and the Microsoft Store for Windows. It is the same app on each. There is no cloud sync of balances. You move data between devices with your own backup file.
