What is PetChronicle?
PetChronicle keeps your pet's health records in one place: vaccines with due dates, vet visits with linked documents, medications with a dose history, symptoms, treatments, allergies, weight and everyday observations. It reminds you before a booster is due and makes a vet-ready PDF of your pet's history. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your records are kept on your device, and you choose when to export or back up. In-app purchases and crash diagnostics use the internet. Crash diagnostics are on by default and you can turn them off in Settings, under Diagnostics.
Is PetChronicle free? How does Pro work?
The free app covers one active pet's complete record, with reminders, the vet PDF preview, the lost-pet poster, first aid, app lock, backup and export. Archived and memorial pets do not count toward the limit. PetChronicle Pro comes as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. It adds more pets, photos, documents and scans; saving, sharing and printing of the vet, insurance claim and boarding PDFs; weight charts and health trends; and new pedigree and breeding records. Pricing is shown in your app store.
Can I share records with my vet?
Yes. PetChronicle makes a vet-ready PDF of your pet's history. You can view it free, and save, share and print it with Pro. Pro also makes insurance claim and boarding PDFs.
What happens to my records if I change phones?
Save a full backup file with every record and photo, and restore it on the new device. On Apple devices you can back up to your own iCloud Drive. You can also export to JSON and CSV at any time. Backup and export are always free. There is no cloud sync, so two devices do not stay in step on their own.
Which devices does PetChronicle run on?
iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android phones and tablets. It needs iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, macOS 15 or later on an Apple silicon Mac, or Android 10 or later. PetChronicle is coming soon to the App Store, the Mac App Store and Google Play.
Does PetChronicle give veterinary advice?
No. PetChronicle records what you enter. It does not diagnose or treat. The first-aid section is a quick reference with its sources, not a replacement for a vet. Always ask a licensed veterinarian about your pet's health.
